America needs the U.S. Public Service Academy. Young people want to serve our country, but many of them want to serve in a civilian capacity. We should use the model of our excellent military academies to build a similar institution to develop future civilian leaders. Many students feel that they cannot afford to pursue public service after graduation because they have accumulated too much debt. The Academy will give service-minded students the opportunity to serve our country without enduring financial hardship.
