The US PSA will not, and cannot address the Baby Boomer ‘crisis.’
Put simply, the Baby Boom generation will retire, and the government will feel the pinch, PSA or not. As an alter ego has mentioned on this sit before, it would take 155 years worth of graduates, all alive and working at the same time, to account for 1% of the government work force, which, according to the Census Bureau (2006) is nearly 20 million people large.
When the Baby Boom generation retires, the government will react by bolstering incentives and pay. This is the nature of the labor market- simple as that.
This is inherently a numbers argument, and I have yet to see any that support these claims.
