Stephanie Vis, a member of the Washington Youth Advisory Council and Junior at Lynden High School in Bellingham, WA successfully had her letter to editor published supporting the Academy.  The end of February was a boon for the Washington YACers.  Rep. Norm Dicks, and Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell all agreed to co-sponsor the bill!  Stephanie wrote to the Bellingham Herald to publicly acknowledge her Senators’ support of the bill and at the same time she garnered more good P.R. for the cause!  Thanks Stephanie and the all the YACers for your hard-work, follow-up and focus.  It is clearly paying off.
